A few years ago, the Secretary of Labor delivered a speech addressing safety in the workplace, and among his comments, he said:
"Everyday in America, 12 people go to work and never come home. Every year in America, nearly 4 million people suffer a workplace injury from which some may never recover. These are preventable tragedies that disable our workers, devastate our families, and damage our economy. American workers are not looking for a handout or a free lunch. They are looking for a good day's pay for a hard day's work. They just want to go to work, provide for their families, and get home in one piece."
These (just like you) are just normal people who go to work and assume that their employer has put proper safety measures in place to ensure their safety. Whether it be due to cost-cutting or just plain negligence, the numbers of workers not returning safely back home at the end of the day are spiking.
Who looks out for these injured employees? Certainly not your employer! More often than not, it can be traced back to an employer's negligence which leads to a worker being injured while on the job. Perhaps it was due to the failure of maintaining proper safety procedures or even failing properly train their employees to ensure the safest working conditions possible.
We at Loney & Schueller WILL look out for you. We are disturbed with the lack of concern employers show their employees, and we will fight for you to ensure you get your RIGHTFUL compensation. Yes, you the worker have rights, and you should never be afraid to exercise them!
