Working...and Surviving the Holiday Shopping Season

Our hats are off to all those that work retail during the holiday season...we know it can't be easy. The amount of stress, hecticness, and extended hours can be very arduous...and it can place hard-working employees in risky conditions.

The most common retail injuries are slips and falls. During the busy shopping season, more products are accidentally knocked over (or sometimes thrown to the floor during the hustle & bustle), and those products can be potentially dangerous for retail workers hustling through the store trying to help the next customer.

One misstep, and...well...the holidays can take a whole different turn.

Also during the Christmas shopping season, retail workers can be more susceptible to suffering lower back injuries. Inventory is constantly changing between the store and the back room, and retail workers will be called upon to carry those boxes back and forth. That back injury could happen suddenly...or worsen over time.

If you've been injured at work, the best thing to do is call Eric, Randy, or Sarah at 515-225-4485. We find that nearly all of our clients are unaware of how many rights they actually have. These laws are there to protect the employee and to ensure they are properly compensated if an accident should occur.

We will go over your rights with you, and together, we will find the proper course of action to take...and then fight vigorously for your rights. We aren't concerned with your employer being upset with us...we don't represent them in any fashion...we represent YOU.
