When Nature is at Fault

This past weekend, a postal worker in Colorado suffered significant injuries after a tree fell on him while on his normal route. Witnesses to the accident said that the old tree just gave way, and the postal worker was in an incredibly unfortunate spot.

There are two things to understand in this case. First off, yes, being injured due to an act of nature is indeed covered under workers' compensation laws...but secondly, the employer should also have made sure that their mail carriers were well-trained in what to do in case of a situation like this.

This injured mail carrier is definitely, rightfully entitled to workers' compensation.

If you have been hurt while on the job, you need to understand your rights. Call Eric, Randy, and Sarah at 515-225-4485. You might be surprised to see how many rights you have, as well as discover how much compensation you may be potentially awarded.
