Slick and Muddy Conditions Increase Risk of Accident

During the past few days, all of us in Central Iowa were treated to, finally, some spring-like weather...and many landscaping businesses began revving up their gear to get ready for, hopefully, more good weather to come.

Of course, it rains today...and all those hopes are quickly dashed.

Many of these companies are ready to get going, but muddy conditions can pose a significant danger to hard-working employees.

In the past few days, we've noticed many stories involving skid-loaders & other heavy construction equipment that slid off roads, or down into ditches, and the resulting accident led to employees being injured.

It's important to always exercise caution in slick conditions, but we all know that sometimes, unfortunately, the urging of an employer to get a job done sometimes supersedes the safety of you, the worker.

If you've been injured at work, the best thing to do is call Eric, Randy, or Sarah at 515-225-4485. We find that nearly all of our clients are unaware of how many rights they actually have. These laws are there to protect the employee and to ensure they are properly compensated if an accident should occur.

We will go over your rights with you, and together, we will find the proper course of action to take...and then fight vigorously for your rights. We aren't concerned with your employer being upset with us...we don't represent them in any fashion...we represent YOU.
