A Heightened Sense of Risk

One of the more dangerous professions is anyone that involves working with heights. Falls are unfortunately all too common. Even a fall from a height of just over 2 feet carries a major risk of a serious injury.

Health and Safety Executive statistics showed that in the past few years, 46 workers were killed and nearly 2,600 seriously injured due to a fall from height at work. As we've seen, it's not only a matter of how far you've fallen, as many very serious injuries occur by falling through a fragile surface rather than off a high place.

Falls involving ladders account for about a quarter of all falls. If a ladder is to be used in the workplace, then a risk assessment and training are needed. Ladders with dirty and slippery treads, or defective feet or locking mechanisms can also be the cause of falls.

If you've been injured due to a fall at work, you need to contact us at 515-225-4485. Eric, Randy, and Sarah will help guide you through the process of making sure you get the compensation you rightfully deserve. Then, when the time comes, they will fight vigorously for your rights!
