Central Iowans Suffer Burns at Workplace

The investigation is still on-going in this workplace accident...

(from KCCI.com)

Four workers at the Tyson Pork Processing Plant in Perry suffered burns Monday afternoon in a work-related incident.

Dallas County Chief Deputy Adam Infonte said two employees are in critical condition with burns to their heads, faces and upper torsos.

Infonte said the pair were flown by helicopter to the University of Iowa Burn Treatment Center in Iowa City.

Two other patients were treated at Tyson's health services department in the plant.

As the investigation continues, we'll discover how this all happened, but in the meantime, four hard-working Central Iowans have suffered injuries that could affect them for a lifetime. Suffering from burn injuries can be some of the most traumatic...physically, emotionally, and mentally.

We are dedicated to fighting for the injured worker. Far too often, an employer will attempt to bully/intimidate an injured employee into not filing a workers' compensation claim. They use threats of job loss and lost wages. However...you...have...rights...rights that you need to exercise.

An employer will never offer you your full compensation. They'll try to entice you with what they think is a "fair offer", but in reality, they're only trying to save as much money as possible.

You are rightfully entitled to your full compensation...and these are rights that can not be taken away.

If you've been injured while on the job, let us help go over your rights with you and explore the possible paths to ensure you get your full compensation. Call Eric, Randy, and Sarah at 515-225-4485 or visit us at Loneylaw.com.
