Falls Continue to Be Leading Cause of Injury in the Workplace

When it comes to most common injuries found on a job site...injuries caused by falls always ranks at or near the top of the list.

A construction worker was hospitalized in critical condition on Monday, Oct. 2 after a fall from a development going up in downtown Ann Arbor.

Authorities were called about 11:15 a.m. Monday for a report that a worker fell about 20 feet while on site of the 12-story high-rise under construction at 603 E. Huron St., Ann Arbor police Lt. Ed Dreslinski said.

The worker was listed in critical condition at the time of transport to an area hospital, Huron Valley Ambulance spokesman Matt Rose said.

If you've been injured in a fall at the workplace, contact Eric, Randy, and Sarah at 515-225-4485. We will go over your claim with you and help determine the proper course to ensure you get your rightful compensation.

Falls can not only result in short-term injuries, but many of those injuries lead to debilitating health effects later in life. A fall can cause a back injury which can linger for years...which may result in the injured employee from never fully being able to do his job properly.

All of these factors must be taken into consideration to ensure you get your rightful compensation. We at Loney & Schueller are ready to help you...and ready to fight for your rights.
