SLOW...DOWN...in CONSTRUCTION ZONES

How can we stress this enough....SLOW DOWN IN CONSTRUCTION ZONES!

(from 10tv.com)

Two people were injured after a car crashed into a work zone on the west side at I-270 and I-70, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.

A construction worker along with the driver of the car were both transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threating injuries.

ODOT says the crash occurred on the ramp from I-70 west to I-270 south. That ramp is currently closed.

According to ODOT, the driver of the car got in between the guardrail and the temporary concrete barrier that protects the construction workers from traffic. One of the workers saw the car approaching and jumped out of the way. That worker is employed by a contractor and not ODOT.

We all see the signs...slow down to 45mph...yet, how many times do you see someone fly by going 60+? With workers present? It's an incredibly dangerous situation.

Road construction workers have enough to focus on while on the job than to have to worry about some reckless driver who just won't show enough courtesy to slow down.
