Don't Let Your Employer Guilt You

It's a sad fact that anytime an employee suffers a work-related injury, the employer does their best to try and make the employee feel it was their own fault.

A worker at the Eatem Foods Company plant in Vineland, NJ received injuries to a hand and arm last Sunday after becoming caught in a piece of food processing equipment, according to several local news organizations.

Responding to the plant at about 8:45 a.m., fire crews worked for an hour to free the man's arm from "auger-type" equipment, the Vineland Daily Journal reported Tuesday. The machinery had to be partially disassembled to remove the worker.

The 31-year-old employee was transported to an area hospital to be treated for his injuries. Officials told the Journal that it appears the man will be able to keep his arm following a series of surgeries.

Hopefully, this employee will be able to make a full recovery from his injuries.

The questions now have to be asked...how did this accident happen? Was it just a freak accident, or was it due to faulty equipment? Were there proper safety measures in place to try and protect the employees?

These questions will all have to be answered.

During that time though, the injured employee should be recovering, but also contacting someone like us to be sure they are fairly represented. Many employers will try and convince employees that it was their own fault that the employee suffered an injury. Employers try to bully and intimidate employees into thinking that it could be a "job loser" if they file a claim.

We won't stand for that! Eric, Randy, and Sarah are here to fight for you...and fight for your rights. We'll ensure you receive your full & RIGHTFUL compensation! Yes...you have rights! It's shocking to us to hear how many hard-working Iowans aren't aware of all the rights they have.

You recover...and let us deal with your employer. We're in your corner, and we'll fight for your rights!
