Injured at DSM?

Summer is filling up fast with family vacations...many of which will involve taking a flight at some point. Next time you're on the plane waiting for take-off, take a look outside the window, and notice the hundreds of employees working in intense heat, pressure, and conditions.

It looks like chaos to us...but to them, it's a well-choreographed dance. However, even though this may have been the 1000th day on the job, there is still a potential for injury.

From NBCNewYork.com

An airport worker was injured by a tug at LaGuardia Airport on Sunday morning, officials said.

The employee got hurt when a tug was backing up and struck him, Port Authority said.

He was taken to a hospital in Elmhurst and his condition doesn't appear to be serious, Port Authority confirmed.

An airport tug is a vehicle used to push equipment, like aircraft, on the ground level.

Even when all these precautions are taken, accidents and injuries will happen.

When you are injured at work, make sure you know your rights. You can not assume that your employer will look out for your best interest. Most of the time, the employer will try and offer you a deal that seems appealing, but in fact, you will be getting short-changed, and not getting the compensation you fully deserve.

Eric, Randy, and Sarah are ready to help ensure that this does NOT happen. Call Loney & Schueller at 515-225-4485, and they will be happy to go over your claim with you and help determine the best action to be taken.
