Worker Injured While Prepping New Disney Ride

Twitter...Facebook...all abuzz about the new Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 movie due out later this summer, and fans are also getting ready to line up for the new Guardians of the Galaxy ride in California in about a month.

Unfortunately, amidst all this excitement, a worker was injured while constructing the ride.

A construction worker suffered a minor knee injury while working on scaffolding at Disney California Adventure around 3:30 p.m. Monday, April 3 authorities said.

Firefighters used a harness to lower the man three stories from his working perch at the new "Guardians of the Galaxy" ride, Sgt. Daron Wyatt said.

Disney is in the process of converting its "Twilight Zone Tower of Terror" into a new ride based on the Marvel's "Guardian's of the Galaxy" movie franchise. "Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission Breakout!" is scheduled to open next month.

It would appear that the employee was able to escape serious injury, but still, if it keeps him out of work for any amount time, it could result in lost wages, which would definitely affect his way of life.

When you're injured, it's important to know that you have rights. Rights that protect you in case the unfortunate should happen. Far too often though, we find that our clients weren't totally aware of these rights. Employers continually fail to inform their employees about proper safety techniques and what to do if an accident should occur.

We have had many clients who came to us asking us "What do I do now?"

We at Loney & Schueller are dedicated to fighting for your rights...and ensuring you receive your full and rightful compensation. We'll focus on getting you what you deserve while you take the appropriate time to recover from your injuries.

We fight...for...you. Call Eric, Randy, and Sarah at 515-225-4485.
