Construction Workers Face Risk When Working On Scaffolding

Construction workers that have to work with or near scaffolding face potential risks at the workplace everyday. A misstep can result in terrible injury that can linger for years and years to come.

In South Bend, Indiana...from

A worker was injured after falling off scaffolding at Notre Dame Friday morning.

Around 8:30a.m., a 36-year-old male subcontractor was working on the exterior of Corbett Family Hall at Notre Dame Stadium when he fell from scaffolding.

He suffered fractures to his legs.

He was taken to Memorial Hospital around 8:45a.m.

His injuries are not considered life-threatening. Investigators are trying to determine what caused the fall.

It would appear that this fall may have been as simple as an unforeseen accident, but that does not mean that the employee isn't eligible for compensation. Unless there was foul play suspected (by the employee's part), most injuries occurred while on the job are eligible for workers' compensation.

You might actually be surprised to find out that your injury is eligible for workers' compensation. The best thing you can do is call Eric, Randy, and Sarah and let us help explore your rights with you. Call us at 515-225-4485 and let's begin the process together.
