City Maintenance Worker Injured While Filling Potholes

Every time we pass a road-side construction site, we just can't imagine the stress and fear workers must face as cars continue to whiz by them at unsafe speeds. How many times do you see drivers completely disregard the Work Zone Speed Limit?

These workers take as much precaution as they can to avoid accidents, but far too often, they find that much of their safety assurances are out of their control.

(from wowt.com)

A city street maintenance worker was injured by a vehicle while working in southwest Omaha on Monday morning.

City crews were working in the area to patch potholes when 48-year-old Salvatore Fidone III was struck by a Toyota Camry. Police said Fidone was standing on the driver's side of the city truck.

According to witnesses, the Camry drifted over from the inside lane and struck Fidone.

Fidone was taken to a hospital in critical condition. Omaha police said Fidone suffered a head injury.

When accidents at the workplace occur, these negligent employers need to be held liable!

We fight for you, the worker. We fight to ensure your rights are upheld, and if an unfortunate injury should occur, we fight to ensure you receive your maximum compensation.

You shouldn't have to endure even more burden due to workplace injury that could have been prevented.

Even one workplace injury is one too many...but to hear of employers with multiple violations...it's absolutely horrific.

You work hard to provide for your family...you work hard to have a roof over your head...you work hard simply because you have a hard working spirit. We'll fight for you to ensure you and your family are taken care of while you're unable to work.
